Police abolition does not mean anarchy and no safety it means that the people we call for help are not militarized and carrying guns, it means when there is a mental health crisis we call a mental health specialist and we don’t need insurance to do that, it means when a child is struggling at school we have practices and people to help that don’t criminalize that child, it means that our society commits to creating systems to support the #1 thing that creates safety, ENDING POVERTY!!! This is creative social justice. This is radical love. This is what has been needed for decades...actually centuries!
